Premier US offshore fishing series secures major sponsorship
A performance and lifestyle brand for saltwater pursuits has announced its sponsorship of the premier US offshore fishing series, the Sport Fishing Championship (SFC).
Salt Life kicks off its partnership with the tournament organiser this month as its exclusive apparel sponsor. The company’s President, Jeff Stillwell, said: “As we continue to expand our performance apparel category, it is only fitting that we outfit some of the best anglers in the world who will be competing in some of the most impressive fisheries.”
The SFC begins this month with the Louisiana Gulf Coast Classic and continues through the Gulf, Atlantic, Mid-Atlantic and Caribbean waters until the final tour stop at the San Juan International Billfish Tournament in Puerto Rico.
“The Salt Life brand is synonymous with ocean adventures,” said SFC CEO and Commissioner, Mark Neifeld. “We are proud to partner with a premier apparel sponsor that truly reflects the bold and fearless lifestyles of our anglers.
“Together, Salt Life and the SFC will continue to showcase championship performance during marathon days on the water.”
The SFC is the first offshore fishing series to feature live tournament coverage on a premier cable sports network. CBS Sports has agreed to a groundbreaking, multi-year deal that will deliver coverage of the final day from every event.
