Far Bank dominates IFTD rod and reel category awards

Far Bank brands dominated the rod and reel categories in the Best of Show Product Awards at the International Fly Tackle Dealer (IFTD) show, which concluded in Salt Lake City on Friday.

Sage won three of the four rod classes, while Redington won one of the two reel categories. Redington enjoyed further success by winning one of the four wading awards and  RIO topped the voting in one of the two line categories and one of the two fly pattern groups.

Other multiple award winners included Scientific Anglers (2), Cody’s Fish (2), Flymen Fishing Company (2) and Abel (2).

But the biggest winner on the day was Simms Fishing Products, with eight awards across the wading, outerwear, general apparel, packs/vests and eco-friendly categories, including the overall best in show award for it G3 Guide stocking foot waders (see our earlier story).
