Tiemco adds Semperfli to prestigious product range
World renowned fly fishing brand and distributor Tiemco has added British company Semperfli Fly Tying Materials to its prestigious portfolio.
Tokyo-based Tiemco will begin distributing Semperfli products in Japan from tomorrow (April 1).
“This is a major step for us,” said Semperfli CEO Ann Kitchener (pictured above). “It is very exciting to expand our operations with such a highly-respected company as Tiemco. We see so much enthusiasm for fly tying in Japan. It is a growing market with a real appetite for our materials.
“Japanese store owners and tyers are very talented and recognise quality. They want to work with the very best products. Our companies share a vision for innovation in fly tying and, importantly, both have an expert eye for quality and customer service. Together we can offer Japanese tyers just what they are looking for.”
Tiemco has been making and supplying products for the fly fishing trade for more than 50 years. “Tiemco is famous fall over the world for Japanese-made, high-quality fly fishing hooks and reliable fly tying tools,” said a company spokesman.
“We are sure there will be a great synergy between the two companies, with Semperfli’s tying materials being tied on Tiemco hooks with Tiemco tools.
“Together we are confident that stores and fly tyers in Japan will be well serviced by this new distribution agreement.”
