Dutch tackle retailer extends its reach into UK with website

European retailer Raven Fishing is is now selling online in the UK. The Netherlands company launched a webshop in France in 2020 and expanded its reach across the channel last week.

The new site offers a range of products for all kinds of UK fishing, selected after extensive research.

“We are always looking for new opportunities and our team has worked hard with our supply partners in recent months to achieve,” said Dion Raven, owner of the 30-year-old company founded by his father in 1974.

“We are proud of the result. We can now provide UK consumers with the coolest fishing gear, useful information and interesting content in the form of videos.

“Instead of just selling products, we want to pass on the experience of fishing as well. Our content helps to tell those stories. We achieve that with how-to blogs and videos featuring experienced anglers.

“We have had a great response since going live. We are always looking for new business opportunities. Our goal is to be the biggest in Europe and maybe beyond that.”

Raven has four stores in the Netherlands, as well as shops in the Czech Republic and Poland, with a distribution centre in Dronten, 45 minutes’ drive north-east of Amsterdam.
