FIPSAS donates aid to Ukrainian refugees
FIPSAS – the body that represents anglers in Italy – has played its part in getting aid to refugees from Ukraine.
The organisation worked with the charities, Sport e Salute (Sport and Health) and the Italian Red Cross, in putting together 120 boxes of clothing, blankets, sleeping bags and other supplies in just five days.
FIPSAS said that when it was told of the initiative it immediately mobilised and made an important contribution in a very short space of time, donating padded jackets, anoraks, tracksuits, sweatshirts and polo shirts from its warehouses.
FIPSAS Secretary General Barbara Durante was among a party that included top officials from the Italian Red Cross and Sport and Health who saw off the truckload of aid this week.
