Bassmaster Expo launch for new Hobie fishing sunglasses

Fishing kayak maker Hobie aimed high when looking for an angler to endorse its new eyewear collection. And the California company couldn’t be happier after signing up Hank Cherry, the Bassmaster Classic Champion for the last two years prior to the event on South Carolina’s Lake Hartwell.

The Hank Cherry Champions Collection will go on sale for $99.99 in early summer at retail stores and online.

“Hank has been great to work with through the entire process,” said Dylan Coates, Senior Marketing Coordinator for Hobie Eyewear. “The end result is two sets of Champion Series polarised sunglasses that meet very high standards at refreshingly reasonable price points.”

The signature series will begin with two models – the Bluefin Float Hank Cherry Champions Edition and the Mojo Float Hank Cherry Champions Edition – each available with a choice of polarised nylon lenses. Both models have Cherry’s initials on the inside of the frame.
