G. Loomis rods to be more readily available in Australia

Share

Anglers across Australia will have easier access to rods from Shimano’s fly fishing brand, G. Loomis, from next month.

Shimano Australia Fishing (SAF) has announced that it has plans to grow the brand, meaning that anglers can get their hands on rods like the E6X, IMX, IMX Pro, NRX+ and Conquest more easily.

SAF Planning Manager Narada Taranto told Angling International: “Shimano has sold the brand since it was purchased by the group, but in recent years SAF has concentrated on growing Shimano global rods and has not introduced many of the G. Loomis new models.

“With the introduction of the NR+ and stand-out series like the Asquith that features new technologies from the Shimano stable, we feel it is timely for SAF to move forward and promote G. Loomis as a premium brand featuring the best technologies of both brands.

“As G. Loomis and Shimano collaborate closer, we are excited to market and sell what we consider are some of the finest rods ever produced. In addition, SAF is launching a new Australian website on March 22nd so the timing is excellent.

“SAF will look to grow the G. Loomis sales and to support the brand through great service and strong distribution. It will promote it as a premium brand made in the USA and featuring key Shimano technologies.”

Taranto added that the traditional Xpeditor service will be discontinued and replaced by a modern warranty that will ensure it meets the needs of consumers.
