Two more European fishing shows postponed

Share

Two European fishing shows – due to take place next month and in March – have been postponed to later in the year as the region continues to struggle with the pandemic.

Carp Italy, which was due to take place in February, will now be held on November 12 and 13 at its usual venue, the Millennial Fair, Gonzaga. The Nordic Outdoor Show, in Denmark, which has a strong fishing flavour, has been postponed until August 19 – 21, having originally been due to take place from March 25 to 27.

“There has been an overwhelming amount of interest from both exhibitors, partners and stakeholders in the Nordic Outdoor Show,” said its Project Manager, Henrik V. Hove. “Therefore, it was a difficult decision to push it further down the calendar. Lack of products to show, especially within the angling and outdoors segment, and the major practical obstacles faced by our foreign exhibitors, made this decision right and fair for all concerned.

“The show will be a mecca for the active outdoor person and we look forward to opening the doors to a visionary fair when the entire outdoor segment gathers under one roof.”

The postponements follow the cancellation of three major fishing shows in France this year – the country’s largest coarse fishing show at Clermont-Frarrand, the Nantes sea fishing event and the Montluçon carp fair.
