‘Scoop’ for Westin as it strengthens UK set-up

Award-winning Scandinavian tackle company Westin has appointed an agent to look after its sales in England and Wales.
Top angler and long-time user of the Danish-based company’s products, Thom Hunt, joined the team at the beginning of the month in what has been described as a ‘scoop’ for Westin.
Thomas Waever, Westin’s Export Manager, said: “Signing Thom is a scoop for us as he holds the full package. He is well known and highly respected, knows the brand and products inside-out and most of the shops in his territory. He is also a hard-working and extremely dedicated person who carries a history of sales and marketing in his luggage.
“I know we will hit the ground running and look forward to working with Thom for years to come as we grow the Westin brand even more in the UK and Ireland.”
Westin is now represented by Hunt (Wales and England) and long-time agent Gareth Whittington (Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland) in the region.
Hunt said: “Having been with Westin as a sponsored angler for two years, I have first-hand knowledge of its high quality products, so moving there is a perfect transition for me. The massive growth of the business in recent years, combined with still feeling like a family, is something I can’t wait to get involved in.”
