Over 40,000 American Angler knives are recalled
More than 40,000 American Angler knives have been recalled because they could pose laceration hazards.
Scott Fetter Consumer Brands recalled the filleting knives after fielding 23 reports of faulty trigger mechanisms. The recall notice states that the trigger can become stuck in the ‘on’ position and that the problem affected some 43,200 units, plus around 630 more sold in Canada. However, no injuries associated with the malfunction had been reported to date.
The orange and grey knives had been sold at Bass Pro Shops, Walmart and other national retailers, as well as online through amazon.com, between January 2019 and October 2021.
Consumers are advised to immediately unplug the product, cut the power cord and dispose of the unit.
