Shimano warns customers to beware of bogus website

Tackle giant Shimano is warning its customers to beware of a website that is posing as belonging to the company.
The Japanese supplier of tackle has posted a warning on its own website regarding the bogus site which is using its logo, product pictures and other content without its authorisation. Shimano says: “At present we are petitioning to have the website shut down.
“Shimano is not responsible or liable for any trouble that arises from the use of a fake website and we ask our customers to take ample care.”
The site – www.shimano-clearance.store/ – is offering Shimano gear at prices that are discounted at up to 84%. Pictured above is the home page of the fake Shimano website.
