Garmin, a household name in the fishing industry, has collected a host of awards in the same week. Meanwhile, Angling International is dedicating its next issue to all marine electronics brands and manufacturers and is taking bookings right now from advertisers in the sector.
Garmin was named Manufacturer of the Year by the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA), as well as winning five of the Association’s Products of Excellence awards. It is the seventh year in succession that Garmin has been chosen for the top award by marine electronics dealers, technicians and fellow marine electronics manufacturers.
The Product of Excellence awards came in the multi-function display, autopilot, safety, multimedia entertainment and mobile application categories. The awards were made at the NMEA’s annual business meeting and awards banquet held in Orlando, Florida.
Earlier in the same week, Garmin was named a Top 10 Most Innovative Marine Company for 2021 by Soundings Trade Only. It is the fourth consecutive year the business has featured on the prestigious list.
“These awards go beyond the products; they represent Garmin’s steadfast commitment to excellence and reliability among our industry colleagues and customers, and are a true testament to the work and dedication of our entire team,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin’s VP of Global Consumer Sales.
