The only consumer show in France that is dedicated to coarse and match fishing will take place next month and is expected to attract around 80 of the top names in the industry.
The Salon International des Pêches Au Coup (SIPAC) will take place in the city of Amiens on November 6th and 7th and will be attended by brands from across Europe. The exhibitor list of the show, which attracted 54 companies when it was hosted for the first and last time in 2018, includes Sensas, Garbolino, Rive, Matrix, Preston Innovations, Daiwa, Gamakatsu, Dynamite Baits, Cralusso and Tubertini.
It is expected to attract 10,000 anglers over the weekend and will be officially opened on the eve of the event with a competition taking place in Amiens city centre between 25 world championship winners from France, Belgium, England, Italy, Hungary and Spain.
Nicolas Béroud, of B&D Editions, told Angling International: “SIPAC is not only a place to see or buy tackle, but also a unique place in Europe to meet other passionate coarse/match anglers from all over the country and beyond our borders.
“This is very important because we want SIPAC to become an event to exchange views between anglers of all levels as well as a venue to discover new and innovative products.”
Béroud added that all relevant health and safety procedures will be in place at the Megacité Exhibition Centre and all those present will have to provide proof of a negative test to enter.
