Addicted to luggage sales? Check out the new line-ups from Mustad, Westin and more

Luggage has become one of the fastest-growing categories for tackle suppliers with many deeming an essential part of its product offer.

In the September issue of Angling International brands including Westin, Mustad and Switzerland’s Robert Glardon SA – owner of the Stucki brand – feature in the Luggage, Hardware and Apparel Special.

Danish tackle supplier Westin says that its W3 luggage range (below) has been given a genuine facelift in terms of looks, features and functionality. Popular bags like the W3 Lure Loader and Vertical Master are still in the line-up in new and improved versions, but there are also new additions like the W3 Waist Pack and Backpack Plus.

“Like its predecessor, the 2022 W3 luggage range is made of durable, top quality materials with a high level of craftsmanship,” says Westin Product Manager Elias Narvelo. “The attention to details throughout the entire range facilitates a collection of stylish fishing bags packed with functional and innovative features – this range is designed for anglers by anglers.”

W3 Backpack Plus – swallows up all you need for a day at the water. The head compartment cooler keeps your food fresh. This bag comes with lure boxes, several pockets, Velcro tool straps and oversized zippers. The adjustable and padded straps.

W3 Waist Pack – includes lure boxes and the main compartment has a quick and easy magnetic opening system. This bag features several pockets, a Velcro tool strap and a large mesh pocket inside the bag.

W3 Jumbo Lure Loader – comes with deep lure boxes to fit all of your favorite lures. This bag has large pockets to fit all kind of accessories. One pocket is fitted with an elastic tool organiser to keep pliers and tools in right place.

Mustad‘s partnership with USA-based Addicted Fishing has seen it develop a new pair of fish bags. The ADX Bonk ’em All Fish Cooler has only just hit the market, but the Mustad says it has been a ‘huge’ hit across the US and the Pacific Northwest. The 38″ insulated and watertight fish cooler bag has been designed to hold ice for days and is easily collapsible for storage. It is made of 500D waterproof  PVC and comes complete with a drainage hole for easy cleaning and draining.  It keeps fish fresh and takes up minimal space on the boat. It is available in red or white.

Switzerland’s Robert Glardon SA – owner of the Stucki brand – has a comprehensive portfolio of bags for anglers. Included in the line-up is the Stucki Large Tackle Bag Its offers enough space for a long trip on the water if you need a large selection of bait at hand. In the large integrated main compartment there are four boxes (35 x 22 x 5 cm) alongside three spacious outer pockets which offer enough space for smaller boxes, tools and other accessories.
