Award-winning Humminbird to create more jobs with major expansion
Marine electronics manufacturer Humminbird is to expand its plant in Eufala, Alabama to meet the growing demand for its technologies.
The multi-award winning company, renowned for its fishfinders and chartplotters, is investing in a multi-million dollar 27,400 square-foot project scheduled for this Autumn. The plan is also expected to create 77 news jobs for assembly workers, technicians and supervisors, along with positions in shipping, IT, HR and technical support. This latest expansion follows a 17,000 square-foot addition to the warehouse in May this year, increasing that space by 40%.
“Humminbird has grown significantly over the last six years and we expect it to continue to grow,” said Craig Packard, General Manager of the Johnson Outdoors brand. “To increase our capacity to meet future demand, we are investing in growing our workforce and continuing to expand our facilities.”
