‘He chases large fish!’ BKK signs up top European angler to promote brand

One of Europe’s best-known anglers has joined award-winning Chinese terminal tackle brand BKK as an ambassador to help it establish a presence in the region.

Jakub Vagner, who has just landed a personal best catfish of over 280cm on spinning gear, has joined its pro team and will be working alongside the company to develop and test hooks for the European market. BKK’s Giulio Bortolaso told Angling International: “The fact that he consistently chases large fish that challenges the strength of any fishing gear will be a great asset.

“Jakub is one of the most prominent anglers in Europe and has been on our radar for a while. His popularity and influence extends throughout Europe and his industry knowledge and experience of the market will be invaluable to us. In addition to that he has a strong fan base in the central European markets where BKK needs to grow its presence – particularly in the Czech Republic and Slovakia – and neighbouring countries that include Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Romania and Hungary.”

Bortolaso added that Vagner will also be involved in promoting the brand on social media through the production of videos.
