Products from more than 100 companies will be on show at the third annual Crappie Expo at the Shreveport Convention Center, Louisiana, in October.
The event, which runs in conjunction with the Mr. Crappie $250,000 tournament at the Red River South Marina, is expected to attract 60,000 attendees.
The Expo runs from October 1st to 3rd and the tournament from September 30th to October 2nd with an anticipated direct economic impact of $2.6 million for Shreveport-Bossier City.
“We have never been more excited to welcome travellers to Shreveport-Bossier and are thrilled to have been selected to host this one-of-a-kind fishing experience,” said Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins. “A resurgence in travel gives us the opportunity to show what an incredible destination this part of Louisiana is for visitors.”
Title sponsors of both events include Lew’s, Strike King, Humminbird and Ford Trucks.
“We are so excited to host the best crappie fishermen in the world right here in the heart of Sportsman’s Paradise,” said Sara Nelms, Director of Sales and Events for the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission.
