Greys fly fishing products have long been popular in Europe – now the brand has been recognised in the US.
Its flagship reel, the Tital, was chosen as the best fly fishing reel at the recent ICAST trade show’s New Product Showcase. The reel’s sleek, large arbor industrial design caught the eye of the visiting retailers and media who choose the winning products.
“Winning an ICAST award validates the hard work, planning, research and development that goes into creating a great fly reel,” said Jim Murphy, Director of Fly Fishing for Greys. “The Greys brand has been in the hands of European anglers for years and it’s exhilarating to introduce such an innovative brand to the American audience.”
Designed in collaboration with Paul Richardson, of Design Creative, the Tital incorporates lots of porting to reduce weight, a sealed carbon-plated disc drag system, a spool release knob and a machined palming ring for extra drag when required. The Tital, intended for both freshwater and saltwater use, will be available in four sizes from September of this year. Greys is part of the Pure Fishing portfolio of brands.
