Fitzgerald Fishing’s new Bryan Thrift Signature Series Dropshot/Ned Rig rod has been voted by 2021 ICAST visitors as the Best New MicroWave Rod that made its debut at the show.
The contest featured entries from all of the American Tackle Wave Army brands that attended ICAST and launched new products that featured the award-winning Florida company’s MicroWave Guides.
Thrift, who competes in the MLF Bass Po Tour, designed two finesse rods to complement his current signature series with Fitzgerald Fishing. The winning entry is a seven-foot medium action rod that features the MicroWave 20 Guide set. It is designed to have a fast action to help anglers fight fish better using light line applications and added length to increase casting distance.
The rod also boasts a unique two hook-keeper design to decrease dropshot tangles and coming undone during long, hard runs on the deck of a boat. This added feature allows anglers to attach both the hook and weight to the rod.
