Power-Pole dropped anchor at ICAST last month and was glad it decided to exhibit despite some anxiety about how the show would fare.
“With COVID on the rise in Florida, we didn’t know what to expect from the show,” said Curt Hill, Marketing Project Coordinator for the shallow-water anchor brand. “The overall size and participation seemed to be down by about half over 2019, but it did seem the right people were there and there were not as many random visitors in attendance. Overall, it went well for us. We got to meet with dealers and partners that we don’t get to see on a regular basis. We had some important face-to-face meetings in and out of our booth during all three days of the show. “
Like most exhibitors, American Fishing Wire (AFW) went into ICAST not knowing what to expect, but travelled back to Pennsylvania happier for the experience.
“ICAST met, and in most ways, exceeded our expectations,” said Sales Executive Willl Belluci. “It turned out to be a great event and we were not disappointed in any way. It was a great show for us that generated business. We got to sit down with a lot of customers face-to-face again and also met some great new prospects.
“It was certainly different to prior years. There were still a lot of folks either unable to attend due to COVID restrictions or who just could not get away from their businesses given the volume of customers. The show was smaller and there was not the normal volume of attendees. But the American Sportfishing Association (ASA) did an excellent job organising the show and it was great to see it back in person.”
“We are very happy with the results from what was overall a very good show,” said Anything Possible Brands VP of Sales erry Pederson after the 64th ICAST trade show had closed its doors. “The show looked very much like the pre-COVID years. There was strong traffic in the aisles and participation looked strong. Anything Possible had a phenomenal show. Our booth was consistently busy and we did a lot of business.”
The Springfield, Missouri company’s ICAST was made even better when it won the Kids’ Tackle category in the event’s New Product Showcase with the ProFISHiency NERF Micro Spincast Combo.
