Keep America Fishing has benefited to the tune of $11,000 thanks to proceeds from the 2021 ICAST MLF Cup, the traditional kick-off event at the big US trade show.

The four-hour bass tournament at Lake Toho was won by the Lucky Go Fishing and Fish Bites team, made up of Terrie Huffmaster, Tonya Michelle and Jackson Williams, with a five-fish total of 25lb 10oz.

And the trio credited the Zoom Magnum Ultra Vibe Speed Worm for amassing the heaviest limit ever recorded since the event began in 2016. Lucky Go Fishing is an online bass tournament platform, while Fish Bites is a bait brand based in Florida.

“This has been so awesome. It’s a day that I will remember for the rest of my life,” an emotional Huffmaster said on stage. “Thank you to everyone that put this event on and made it happen – MLF, ICAST, everybody here.”

Second team, US Bassin’, weighed in 25lb, with American Baitworks taking third spot with 21lb 5oz.

The field totaled 55 boats. In its five-year history the charity tournament has raised more than $61,000 for Keep America Fishing.
