Plano to take tackle storage to ‘new extremes’ at ICAST

Plano goes to ICAST under new ownership with a product that ‘takes tackle storage to new extremes’.
The Plano Atlas Tackle Pack is a durable tackle-carrying solution that combines the strength of a hard-sided tackle box with the lightweight portability of a soft-sided tackle bag.
“This innovative design breaks all the rules for traditional tackle storage solutions,” says the company, which was acquired by Pure Fishing earlier this year. “The Atlas Tackle Pack is loaded with design features that make it ultra-efficient and a one-of-a-kind entrant in its class.”
Those features start with a sturdy, skid-resistant and waterproof high-density polyethylene base. The body of the pack is surrounded by EVA panels for a solid foundation, which allows it to stand up and keep its form even when empty, while padded shoulder straps help distribute the weight.
At the top, it includes a patented magnetic Dropzone, allowing anglers to store tools and lures for quick access without the fear of losing them.
The pack also includes a bungee-cord rod holder, tool holders and a water-resistant cell phone storage pocket to keep essential gear close at hand.
Internal zippered mesh pockets and moulded clamshell-style side pockets provide secure, protected storage for smaller items or 3500 size Stowaways. The Atlas includes three Plano 3750 StowAway utility boxes.
