Revealed: the green swimbait that the market ‘has been waiting for’
Nikko describes itself as the biggest little company you have probably never heard of. But all that is likely to change when the lure brand reveals its range of soft baits at ICAST.
The Virginia company, which offers durable, floating and scented baits for both freshwater and saltwater, will be introducing the ‘ribbed swimbait the market has been waiting for’ in the shape of the Winnow 95.
“This lure has amazing durability so there are no more nipped tails,” says Nikko’s pre-show announcement. “The keeled design, deep flexible ribs and slim body create a lifelike swimming action and the swollen belly presents an enticing profile. It is great for both slow and fast retrieves and the floating material used in its construction adds to the rigging options.”
In addition, Nikko has used material that is free from toxins, endocrine disruptors and harmful chemicals. It is naturally scented and just has to be stretched to recharge. Visitors will be able to see the new lure in the New Product Showcase as well as on the Nikko booth (717).
Other baits by Nikko include the Nikko Craw, the Hellgrammite, the Super Ned and the Leech, along with a selection of saltwater, crappie, trout and ice fishing baits.
