New ASA Board members reveal their priorities for 2022

Share

The American Sportfishing Association (ASA), the body which represents the US tackle industry, has elected its Board of Directors for 2022.

At-large seats went to Dave Pfeiffer, President, Shimano North America Fishing, Inc., and Casey Shedd (above), President of AFTCO while regional seats went to Patrick Gill, CEO, TackleDirect, and Larry Roberts, Senior VP and General Merchandise Manager Outdoor Division at Academy Sports + Outdoors.

Pfeiffer and Gill were re-elected for second terms, while Shedd and Roberts make their debuts on the board.

Shedd has an extensive background in digital marketing and data and would like to see the ASA do more to be an online information and advocacy hub for its members. Roberts (left) believes that retaining the recent influx of new anglers should be one of the ASA’s top priorities and that more use of technology and education are essential to keep new anglers engaged.
