Svendsen Sport is set to strengthen the position of its Savage Gear brand among retailers, social media audience and anglers in Sweden with the appointment of a full-time marketer.
The new man on the ground will be Anton Tsvetkov (pictured above), a well-known angler in the country who is also known in the media through appearances on YouTube fishing channel shows, appearances on national television and as a writer. As an angler he has caught more than 50 pike over 10kg with the largest weighing in at 16.4kg.
As part of his role, Tsvetkov will be travelling around Sweden on the hunt for the best stories to tell and share. He will be fishing and documenting every step of his journey and inviting anglers into his Savage Gear world via the brand’s social media channels, including YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. He will also be engaging with retailers to strengthen their relationship with the brand as part of its Preferred Partner Strategy.
Thomas Sanotra, Svendsen Sport Director of Product, Purchase and Marketing, said: “I am extremely thrilled by the appointment of Anton. His approach to both fishing and marketing are unquestionable – having him on board is going to be the cornerstone in our quest to reclaim our Savage Gear legacy in Sweden, ‘the kingdom of big pike’.
Tsvetkov added: “I have been a fan of the Savage Gear brand since I was a boy and learnt most of my basic spin fishing skills from following Savage Gear with Mads Grosell and the brand’s remarkable pioneering online presence. I am looking forward to flying the Savage Gear flag in victorious fashion. This is going to be something else – just wait and see.”
