KastKing’s ‘break-out’ product is first for the industry

A rod storage rack that also spools line is the first product of its kind on the market, says the New York manufacturer, KastKing.
The company’s V10LS Line Spooling Station and Rod Storage Rack holds 10 rod and reel combos (both spinning and baitcasting reels) within 18 inches of wall space.
“This is a break-out product for us,” said KastKing CMO, Tom Gahan. “We’ve been wanting to do a line spooler for a while, but didn’t want to move forward until we had a perfect product that, unlike other brands, doesn’t put a twist in the line during spooling.
“Line twist leads to knots, tangles, poor casting, break-offs and other nightmares, which can occur with other line spoolers. The V10LS puts an end to all of those issues. What’s more, you can easily store and access your set-ups without taking up a lot of space. The V10LS is a huge win for anglers.”
The spooler used adjustable tension bands so that monofilament, fluorocarbon and braid are spooled tightly on the reel.
For casting reels, line comes off the top of the filler spool and winds directly onto the top of the reel without changing the coiled memory of the line. For spinning reels, the line is uncoiled from the filler spool and coiled directly onto the reel spool in the same way. The line naturally coils onto the reel spool with zero twist.
“The V10LS is an incredibly unique product, there’s nothing else like it on the market,” say Scott Thomas, KastKing New Products Manager and creator of the system. “I think it will be a home run with consumers once they understand they can store combos, fishing line, tools, and also spool fishing reels, all with this simple wall-mounted rack.”
The V10LS will be on the KastKing booth (1217) at ICAST and also in the show’s New Product Showcase area.
