Hurricane Boats has started production in a new 120,000 sqft facility in Syracuse, Indiana. The new site will also provide the company with an additional 20,000 sqft of shipping and warehousing space.
The expansion will increase production capacity for the award-winning manufacturer and will provide 50 to 60 new jobs in areas like assembly, lamination, fibreglass repair, maintenance, quality assurance and materials.
General Manager Ben Duke said the expansion would enable the company to meet growing consumer demand for ‘the finest deck boats’ in the industry.
“We are grateful to our customers for the continued extensive growth in the boating market,” he added. “We are also dedicated to our community and look forward to welcoming new staff to our ever-growing Hurricane family.”
Hurricane Boats was founded more than 45 years ago and is part of the Polaris Boat Group that also includes the Bennington and Godfrey brands.
