Power-Pole adds its support to US ‘Trash to Treasure’ clean-up initiative

Share

Power-Pole, the manufacturer of shallow water anchors, is supporting the clean-up of America’s waterways by partnering with Reel Life Apparel in a ‘Trash to Treasure’ tournament.

The Tampa, Florida company is sponsoring the virtual event by offering prizes of Power-Pole gear to participants who collect the most fishing line and tackle. The tournament began on April 17th and runs to April 24th and is free to enter for teams of four collecting trash from any beach, shoreline or any body of water.

Once registered, teams submit pictures of their bags of rubbish collected through the iAngler app. Each bag collected counts toward that team’s total. Prizes for the most trash have also been donated by Reel Life Apparel, based in Miami, and Bote, the maker of stand-up paddleboards in Miramar Beach.

Other categories include most unusual find and largest item found. Additionally, the first 50 photo submissions will receive a 20% off discount code to shop reellifegear.com

Power-Pole is also taking part directly in the clean-up as part of the CASTnet initiative operated by parent company, J.L. Marine, whose employees perform volunteer community outreach activities that benefit the environment.
