Gill Fishing planning Canadian expansion with sales appointment
Gill Fishing has appointed a new sales agency to help it expand its business into Canada.
Canada Pro and Outdoors will grow the company’s brand awareness in the fishing and lifestyle markets and increase Gill’s dealer base in Canada. Gill Fishing was launched three years ago by parent company Gill Marine, a specialist foul-weather gear brand in the sailing and watersports markets.
Gill Marine has strong brand recognition in Canada and is looking to leverage that with new fishing products and technology. The company’s Sales Director, Tom Houston, said that Canada is a crucial part of its North American strategy.
“Canada is home to some of the best fishing on the planet. We needed an agency that could help us access these important dealers. Canada Pro is aligned with Gill in that we want to grow partnerships within the community and not just focus on bottom-line business.”

Gill Marine was launched in the UK in 1975 by Nick Gill, a keen sailor, and has grown into a global brand.
