Hungexpo cancels FeHoVa virtual show and plans for return to normal in 2022

Plans to replace Hungary‘s largest fishing and hunting show this month with a virtual event have been called off.

Following the cancellation of this year’s 28th Fishing, Hunting and Arms International Exhibition (FeHoVa) in its physical format, the organiser, Hungexpo, had hoped to replace it with a digital event.

However, a statement issued by Hungexpo said that the decision to cancel the 2021 event – and the Budapest Boat Show – altogether because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic had been taken following consultations with exhibitors and partners.

A spokesperson for Hungexpo added: “We would like to draw your attention to FeHoVa+, where exhibitors and visitors can meet between September 30th and October 3rd this year in a separate pavilion at the ‘One with Nature’ World of Hunting and Nature Exhibition. Further details of the event will be forthcoming at a later date.”

Next year’s FeHoVa show is planned to take place between February 17th and 20th. Last year’s event attracted the greatest gathering of hunters, fishermen and nature lovers from the Carpathian Basin. More than 50,000 visitors attended with more than 300 exhibitors present in the two pavilions at the HUNGEXPO Budapest Congress and Exhibition Centre, including some of the largest manufacturers and distributors in the sector.
