Rapala announces promotions as it increases presence across US

Rapala VMC Corporation is continuing to increase its presence across the United States fishing industry and has announced several promotions within its ranks that it says will accelerate the growth and performance of its operations.

“At Rapala we strongly believe in building a team worthy of delivering the best to our customers,” said Tom Mackin (pictured above), President of Rapala USA. “These promotions reflect a culture where we develop talent from within, while bringing in new talent to continuously drive operational excellence.”

Ryan Rohrbach has been promoted to Vice President of Finance and Operations from VP Finance and Administration. He will oversee all the company’s operations as well as continue as COO at 13 Fishing/DQC International.

Leading sales operations in the US for Rapala will be Travis Tuma, promoted to Vice President of Sales. He joined the company in 2006 from leading independent fishing and hunting retailer Joe’s Sporting Goods, where he was General Manager.

Lisa Roedel, who joined Rapala 27 years ago, has been promoted to Director of Operations from Manager – Operations and Product Data. She will continue to direct the company‘s operations while also lending her expertise to Rapala Canada and the company’s US warehouse activities.

Sam McSharry will join Rapala on April 1st as Regional Sales Manager for the North Central Region. With more than 12 years of experience in the fishing and outdoor industry, he joins from the Rassat Outdoor Group, where he worked as Sales Associate, covering Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsular of Michigan.
