Share

Ben Bulis, the President of the representative body for the fly fishing industry in the US, has announced his resignation from the post.

Bulis joined the American Fly Fishing Trade Association (AFFTA) in April 2012 as interim General Manager and quickly moved up to become the figurehead of the organisation.

“I am sure I am joined by all former AFFTA Chairmen and women, Board Directors past and present and our greater membership in thanking Ben for his efforts on behalf of AFFTA and the fly fishing community,” said Jim Bartschi, AFFTA Board Chair.

“Ben has been a great leader of our association and leaves AFFTA in a far better place than when he joined us. His passion for our industry and our members will be missed.”

Bulis said: “I have enjoyed every moment I have had at AFFTA and know the relationships I have forged over almost a decade leading this organisation will be with me for the rest of my life. We have done some incredible things together over the years and grown into a significant voice that has helped all our members to be more successful.”

Bulis will be working with the AFFTA Board during the transition.
