American Tackle steps in to host International Rod Building Challenge at its HQ

The award-winning US rod component manufacturer, American Tackle, will be hosting this year’s International Rod Building Challenge 2021 from its headquarters in Florida.

The event was due to take place during the International Custom Rod Building Expo (ICRBE), but following its cancellation the company has decided that the show must go on in the search for the world’s best rod builder of 2021.

Competition judging will now take place in Oviedo and participants should send their entries to the competition sponsor by February 28th. Entries should be sent to International Rod Building Challenge, American Tackle, 2133 Component Loop, Suite 1031, Oviedo, Florida, 32765.

Competitors must use the mystery blank that is purchased through American Tackle Direct for $70 in the US ($90 international) with shipping included. Trophies will be awarded for the top three entries, with the winner receiving a $500 American Tackle gift voucher.

The entries will be judged by a panel of industry professionals between March 1st and 8th, with the winners being announced at 10am EST on March 10th via AT Direct.
