Italy’s two main fishing representative bodies have partnered with the organiser of the country’s leading show for the sport.

Industry body, the Italian Federation of Sport Fishing Operators (FIOPS), the Italian Federation of Sport Fishing Underwater Activities and Finswimming (FIPSAS) have aligned with the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), the owner of the Pescare Show.
The groundbreaking move has been designed to strengthen the status of the event, which will take place in Vicenza, from November 19 to 21 this year.
In a press release IEG said that it recognised FIPSAS as the ideal partner to promote the Pescare Show to anglers. It added that as its membership consisted of the best production and distribution companies in the sector, the involvement of FIOPS ensures the presence of all the latest new products and technologies at the show.
“For FIPSAS and FIOPS, the IEG represents a privileged partner for promoting the sport and growth of fishing and specialist boating through the exhibition,” said the IEG.
“The two federations also share with the IEG the role of promoters and ambassadors of environmental protection. The show provides an open and authoritative place for discussion. It is an unmissable event during which to support and encourage activities and take stock of issues relating to the sector.”
The agreement was finalised earlier this month in Rome between the FIPSAS President, Ugo Claudio Matteoli, the FIOPS General Manager, Francesco Ruscelli, and for IEG, the CEO, Corrado Peraboni, and Paolo Audino, Group Brand Director of the Lifestyle and Innovation Division.
