Following hot on the heels of its distribution deal in the US with Spro/Gamakatsu, Japanese lure brand Sea Falcon has substantially increased its presence on the other side of the Atlantic.
It has struck a deal with its distributor in France, Ultimate Fishing, which will now handle its sales across major countries in Europe, including Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland and Norway.
Martin Bakos, International Sales Manager at Sea Falcon, said: “The European market is high on our priorities for growth. We have a relationship with Ultimate Fishing for our high-end trophy fish sub-brand, Fish Tornado. When working on our global strategy we looked for a strong partner in the region and there is nobody else who can not only supply, but also build these markets like Ultimate Fishing.”
Bakos has worked alongside Ultimate Fishing founder Yannick Cordier for over ten years. “The company is a great example of a clear strategy and commitment to achieving quality results. What it represented in its formative years remains the same today – the best tackle for European anglers.”
Sea Falcon’s European ambitions do not stop with its latest agreement. Bakos said: “We will also be looking at the other very important markets of Italy, Greece, Turkey and generally the Mediterranean area, working with local distributors on developing a suitable product line-up and becoming one of the go-to brands for metal jigs.”
Bakos added that Sea Falcon has started to be more active on social media and taken English accounts on Facebook and Instagram (@seafalconworld). “We will also be working on videos to communicate Sea Falcon’s commitment to representing the finest in hand-made, genuine Japanese quality and establishing an international pro-staff team.
“Working alongside Ultimate Fishing will give us an opportunity to adjust our product range to the local needs of the market and developing new products.”
