Europe’s largest fly fishing show postponed until October

Share

Europe’s largest fly fishing show – due to take place in April – has been postponed until October following continued uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 16th Experience the World of Fly Fishing (EWF) will now take place from October 23 to 24 at Fürstenfeld near Munich, in Germany.

“After discussions with all involved in the event, we received wholehearted support for our decision to put the event back to later in the year,” said a spokesman for the show organiser. “The emphasis of the show will be on all aspects of fly tying.

“Additionally are looking forward with anticipation and optimism that travel will be unrestricted and visiting our favourite fly fishing destinations both at home and abroad in 2022. With that in mind our Autumn-EWF will also put the spotlight of fishing destinations.”

The event will be a slimmed down version of normal shows in light of the expected lack of international exhibitors and other participants.
