Dick’s partnership will take delivery service to new levels

Share

Dick’s Sporting Goods has partnered with the leading online grocery delivery service in the US to ensure its products are received by customers in as fast as an hour.

The same day delivery service offered by Instacart will operate in 150 Dick’s stores in nine states – Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia, plus Washington DC. Customers can now shop for thousands of DICK’S products including fishing tackle, sporting equipment, outdoor recreation gear and apparel, footwear and more using the safe and convenient option before Christmas.

“People across the country have embraced outdoor activities this year as a way to stay active and safe, and we’ve seen a meaningful increase in demand for sporting goods across our marketplace,” said Chris Rogers, Vice President of Retail at Instacart.  “Customers continue to rely on Instacart as a fast and reliable same-day delivery solution for all of their needs, and we’re proud to partner with Dick’s to offer its incredible selection of products to customers in as fast as an hour.”

Joe Pietropola, Senior Vice President of eCommerce at Dick’s said his company was pleased to work with Instacart during the holiday season and beyond. “By doing so we give our customers another same-day option providing fast and reliable delivery to their homes.”

Dick’s customers in participating states can visit www.instacart.com/dicks-sporting-goods or download the Instacart app on their mobile device. For all orders placed, an Instacart shopper will pick and deliver the order within the customer’s designated timeframe. Instacart delivers from nearly 40,000 stores across more than 5,500 cities in all 50 US states. It has collaborated with a number of retail partners outside of the grocery sector in 2020 to provide a greater selection to customers.
