Flying Fisherman, which is currently celebrating its 35th anniversary, has enjoyed one of the best years in its history.
The US company’s Vice President, Linda Sheldon, told Angling International: “Our Flying Fisherman Sun Bandit protective face masks sold like wild fire, skewed by the COVID-19 pandemic. We were very fortunate in 2020 as increased participation in outdoor activities helped drive sales of our products and brought us new customers.
“This year also marked a landmark anniversary and we are pleased to say that we are still family-owned and operated with two generations involved in the business.” However, there was no big celebration to mark its birthday – those were suspended because of the current Coronavirus situation.
Sheldon added that the sunglasses which made the most impact in 2020 was the Rip Current. As part of its mid-range price-point Master Angler Rhino Lens Collection, it has all the benefits serious anglers are looking for – uncompromised quality and functionality at a great price, said Sheldon.
The Rip Current’s ‘on-trend’ frames are made of Grilamid® TR90, a durable polymer material with memory. Its high flexibility, durability and ultra-light features make the frame ideally suited for anglers, Sheldon added: “The virtually indestructible polycarbonate Rhino Lenses® offers unbeatable eye protection against flying objects and the AcuTint® lens colouring system enhances contrast and clarity, in addition to blocking reflected glare and 100% of UVA and UBV rays.”
They are available in matte black frames with AcuTint smoke lenses and matte tortoise with AcuTint amber or green mirror lenses.
