Why luxury pontoon maker has added fishing models to its portfolio

Share

Pontoon maker, Godfrey Marine, has added two new fishing-specific craft to its luxury Monaco line.

Both models are equipped with dedicated fishing platforms not previously available, along with a livewell that can double as a day cooler. Other fishing features include rod holders that double as cup holders, additional upright rod holders, knife and tool storage and stern fishing seats on removable pedestals.

“Our customers clamoured for a high-end, dedicated fishing platform and we’ve delivered,” said Janene Harness, Project Manager for the Indiana company

Both are fitted with a large bow lounge and an ample stern pit area which wraps around the helm seat. The fishing seats can be upgraded to reclining helm chairs on fixed pedestals. The new boats are available in 23 and 25 foot lengths, with eight foot, six inch beams.

“Our new Monaco FS Series defines the Monaco line-up, with the addition of dedicated fishing amenities and high-class features,” said Wally Ross, Director of Product Management and Marketing for Godfrey Marine. “The MC235 FS and the MC255 FS are the perfect pontoons to combine fishing and cruising with the family.”

Based on configuration, the craft can accommodate between 12-16 and 14-17 passengers and are powered by 150-hp to 300-hp and 150-hp to 400-hp motors respectively.
