The organiser of a festival designed to breath new life into Sydney, Australia, following the COVID-19 pandemic is bracing itself for an invasion of anglers.
The Western Harbour Alliance – organiser of the Harbour for Life initiative – will be releasing a tagged kingfish in the western side of the harbour, which will be worth a cool $1m dollars to the lucky angler who catches it.
The $1m kingfish is expected to cause a lot of excitement among millions of anglers across New South Wales (NSW) amd Australia. Bob Baldwin, Chairman of the Australian Fishing Trade Association (AFTA), said: “ I can’t think of a better place in the world to wet a line and may be catch a fortune right in the heart of our magnificent city.”
Netting the fish would be a game of chance as it cannot be fitted with a tracker like the ones used on sharks because they only reveal a location when the fish surfaces and kingfish stay submerged.
