We’ll make sure anglers see new 2021 products say Japan’s major international show organisers

Japan’s two international fishing tackle shows have announced plans to stage their events online next year.

The Japan Fishing Festival and the Fishing Show Osaka surprised many when they announced the cancellation of their 2021 shows more than six months before they were due to take place at the beginning of next year due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.

This week the organisers of both events revealed plans to take the shows virtual in a bid to ensure that the country’s anglers do no miss out on the new products that have been traditionally launched at the events in the past.

The Japan Fishing Festival will go live from Friday, January 22nd to Sunday, January 24th with all the information revealed available for a month after the event.

The Osaka show will utilise both its website and terrestrial television to keep the country’s army of anglers abreast of the new launches from Japan’s major brands. Osaka TV will be broadcasting on January 24th and 31st and February 7th, while there will be information on the website from January 24th and seven hours of live streaming on February 7th.

Both shows attract the cream of the country’s fishing tackle manufacturers, who it is hoped will take part in the events.
