High profile Svendsen Sport appointment puts emphasis on brands
Svendsen Sport has some of the top known brands in fishing and the Danish tackle supplier is determined to ensure it stays that way with news of a high-profile appointment.
It has recruited Theis Gronemann from his role as Marketing Manager at Ferrari and Maserati Denmark to become its International Brand Manager. He has a track record stretching back 13 years of working with strong brands across the Nordic region.
Hans Maasbøl, CEO of Svendsen Sport, said: “Bringing in a character like Theis to the group is a vital move in our future brand strategy where consumers have the power to choose, but with the right strategy we have the power to inspire. With his background, I am convinced that together with the marketing team, he will play a vital part in the Svendsen Sport journey.”
Thomas Sanotra, Director of Product and Marketing at the company, added: “The story behind products and a brand is more important to us than ever. Equally important is to understand the anglers. Theis is a very keen fisherman. He has been fishing most of his life and understands the passion that drives those involved in the sport.”
In his job, Gronemann will be responsible for growing knowledge of its brands within predator, carp and catfish fishing. “The focus will be centred around social media, where we have a very strong position,” says Sanotra. “However, we want to increase our impact by creating better content and putting more focus on our incredible pro-staff across our main brands.”
The move will pave the way for Svendsen’s International Trade Marketing Manager, Ken Bloch-Frederiksen, and his team in the graphics department to focus on the development of in-store promotional and marketing materials for retailers to connect with consumers on a higher level.
