Rapala underlines growth ambitions with Ravenni appointment

Rapala has underlined its growth ambitions in core product segments by appointing Enrico Ravenni as Head of Distribution in Asia-Pacific (APAC) countries.

Ravenni will also take charge of the newly created APAC Product Development Centre where he will lead global product development and innovation in rods, reels and lines. In addition, Ravenni, who has been at Rapala for 11 years, becomes a member of the company’s Executive Committee.

In his role as head of distribution in APAC countries, Ravenni reports to President and CEO Nicolas Warchalowski. In his role as head of Global Rods, Reels and Lines Product Development and Innovation he reports to Executive Vice President David Neill.

“I am thrilled to promote Enrico into this position. He is one of the strongest sales people and leaders in our Group and has an impressive track record of both successful country management and innovative product development,” said Warchalowski, who emphasised his company’s renewed focus on product development in a recent Angling International interview.

“Enrico understands the APAC business culture well and now gets the exciting task of growing our business in this region. He will also build up our brand new APAC Product Development Centre on our new exciting journey to become a more innovative and product development-oriented company.”

Chief Operating Officer Lars Ollberg will continue to lead the Asian Sourcing office. He will also continue to work on special projects, reporting to Nicolas Warchalowski.
