Mammoth Coolers, the official cooler for last weekend’s Crappie Expo in Branson, Missouri, points to its collaboration with Wally Marshall as a key factor in its emergence as a serious player in the fishing market.
Marshall, commonly known in the industry as Mr. Crappie, a name he trademarked for his own product line in the late Nineties, joined forces with the Cincinnati company in March 2019.
“Our partnership with Wally has accelerated our growth in the fishing market and continues to generate a large amount of interest in the outdoor community,” said Bob George, Director of Sales and Marketing for Blackbird Products Group, owner of the Mammoth brand.
Mammoth, a leading supplier of rotomolded coolers, soft-sided coolers, drinkware and accessories, announced its sponsorship of the 2nd annual Crappie Expo last week. The expo ran in conjunction with the Mr. Crappie Invitational fishing tournament where 100 of the top crappie fishing teams in the US competed for $200,000 in prize money on Table Rock Lake.
More than 100 companies exhibited, including boat manufacturers, tackle dealers and guides. As the official cooler sponsor and exhibitor, Mammoth showcased its full product line. Last year’s expo attracted more than 45,000 fans in its debut year.
“The Crappie Expo is a great opportunity for fishermen to check out new products from different vendors and manufacturers,” said tournament founder Wally Marshall.
“Mammoth Coolers is respected in the industry and has the reputation of building superior products, so it just made sense to partner with a company with a shared passion for quality outdoor products.”
