‘It took me five seconds to decide.’ Tommy Pickering joins David Preston’s Fjuka Bait revolution

Share

One of Europe’s best known match anglers – and a former England team manager – has joined the Fjuka Bait ‘revolution’.

Tommy Pickering has officially signed with new bait company Fjuka – a role that sees him re-joining David Preston, the founder of Preston Innovations. In a video posted on Facebook, Pickering, who left UK tackle company Maver to join Fjuka, told his followers: “The reason I moved is simple – David Preston. I worked with him for 14 years and we got on really well. He built Preston Innovations from a small company to what it is today. It was a no-brainer to join him – it took me five seconds to decide.”

Preston commented: “Tommy is not just a brilliant angler, he is one of fishing’s most popular personalities, and that’s true throughout Europe. I am shocked and flattered that he’s chosen to join us – after all, we’re still the new kids on the block!”

Pickering continued: “I just want to work with the guy again. I know the man and what he will be trying to achieve. He has new ideas and plans in the pipeline. Trust me, this is just the start for Fjuka Baits and I want to be part of it. I am looking forward to helping him and his people achieve what’s in front of us. I am as excited as I have been for a very, very long time – the future is Fjuka!”
